Tour Details

A Journey in the Heart of the Balkans: Bosnia Tour with Ocak Turizm… On this route stretching from Mostar to Sarajevo, from Blagay to Travnik, you will discover both the Ottoman traces and the warm texture of Bosnian culture. We will follow the traces of the past step by step among bridges, lodges, mosques and bazaars. A deep and meaningful journey awaits you in this land whose history is steeped in sadness but also full of hope.

We meet at Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal and take our direct flight to Sarajevo. After customs and passport procedures, we start our tour. Our city tour starts with a visit to the grave of the first President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegovic and his comrades, and then we visit the famous historical Bascarsija. Sarajevo, where World War I broke out after the Austrian-Hungarian Crown Prince Archduke Franz Ferdinand was killed by the Serbs here in 1914, is considered the Jerusalem of Europe with its religious diversity. Although Sarajevo suffered great damage during the Siege of Sarajevo in the war between 1991 and 1995, it still preserves its beauty. We start our tour in Sarajevo by seeing the National Library, which burned for days during the siege and destroyed millions of manuscripts, İnat Kuca, Hünkâr Mosque, and the Latin Bridge, where the Franz Ferdinand Assassination took place, which caused the outbreak of World War I in 1914. Along Ferhadiye Street, which was built during the Austro-Hungarian period of the old city, we visit the Church of the Heart of Jesus, the Eternal Fire Monument, the Open Market where the Marketplace Massacre took place, the Synagogue, and the Ferhadiye Mosque. Then, we start the tour of Bascarsija, which was built during the Ottoman period, and we complete our tour by seeing Morica Han, Gazi Hüsrev Bey Complex, Bakırcılar Street, Çarşı Mosque, Sebil, Ottoman Clock Tower, Kovaçi Martyrdom, Hünkar Mosque. After free time in Bascarsija, we complete our day with Bosnian meatballs, Çevapi, and go to our hotel to rest.
